In Golden Splash, I use golden leaf material, capturing the ethereal quality of light. With its rectangular shape and repeated pattern, the artwork offers a telescopic view with a transparent prism of warm orange and yellow hues through which the viewer looks at the sun.  The applications of the white hue painted with glass bead gel introduces an element of texture and depth to the painting. They are scattered on the surface and create a sparkling effect, mimicking how sunlight shimmers through the leaves in a gentle breeze. This effect becomes more pronounced in indirect light, adding an element of surprise and discovery. Gold leaf applications mimic the openings between the leaves, suggesting the sun. As the viewer's perspective shifts, so does the light interacting with the gold medium, creating a dynamic, ever-changing scene that mimics the natural movement of sunlight through the leaves.
